Privately-held Dilon Technologies
manufactures and markets medical imaging devices. The Dilon 6800
Gamma Camera with Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI) is used
as a diagnostic complement to mammography in breast cancer
diagnosis, as well as in pre-surgical planning for patients
diagnosed with breast cancer. The Dilon camera is the best
diagnostic tool for breast cancer today, detecting cancers that
standard mammograms can not, and offering a much cheaper
solution than other advanced imaging devices like Breast MRI.
There are over 90 Dilon cameras installed worldwide and more
than 70,000 women have been imaged with them.
Taglich Brothers provided Dilon
with capital needed to fund operations, deal with a record
backlog, and for the development and the anticipated release of
a new biopsy device and related disposables.
